Nature - Mel

Hi Ladies! Some great photos on here already!!! I ventured out with my camera this morning and was surprised at how many beautiful things and colours I could find, especially when I got down low and small! I don't take enough time to appreciate the art Heavenly Father has created in the world, so this is probably good for me! :) xx

Very pretty. The pink leaf is great!

Hi Mel! I love the photo of the tree - the perspective is great and makes it a really interesting shot. I also love the way the branches sort of spiral around, with the hole of blue sky in the middle. Lovely :)

Hi Mel! How nice to see you joining in! I really like two of these. The tree one that the others mentioned is very cool. I was going to say something similar to the Emma. It's very nicely framed and I love the purple and blue in it. It would be nice to see it bigger. Try loading photos as 'large' next time.
I also love the little collection of leaves on the grass. It's kind of romantic in a childhood kind of way. I'm not sure if you made the little pile or found them but it's like kind of like you have stumbled upon a little kids (Samuel?) special spot.

Thank you all for the welcoming :) I am glad to be doing something fun like this with you all!

I showed Christophe the photos before I uploaded them, and he immediately picked out the tree as his fave too! I said to him "who would have thought there were such great things in our drab, very boring backyard!?!" and he couldn't believe it was the tree out the back! :) Just goes to show that anything can be made to look beautiful with the right techniques/angles hehe!

As for the leaves, yes, I "built" the scene first, and I was sort of thinking about a kid collecting leaves and making it into an "artwork" :)

Will definately upload bigger pics next time!

I agree with everyone else Mel. I do love the tree best. I love the way the tree frames the sky. Can I also see some moss on the trunk and branches? Very beautiful.

Hi Mel,
Great photos! Happy that you're snapping away now too. In the tree picture I really like how there is a piece of sky framed by the tree and it peeks through the canopy. I also like the leaf picture above that too - nice constrast of 3 colours. Can't wait to see more.
