The composition works well, with the position of the cup & shadow. I like the reflection on the table too. The shiny bit in the middle of the shadow is nice :)
Looks really effective. You captured the light so beautifully and I find that my eyes are drawn to the lines created by the light and the shadow. Easy to forget that it is a glass of water in the picture.
I like how the light in the shadow continues past the actual shadow of the cup. I also enjoy the fact that you can think to take a picture of something in your immediate environment to take a photo of too. I often feel like I have to venture out but need to look around me a bit more too. I'm also excited about the nature post. It's funny how you start looking at things differently when you are thinking about what they would look like in a photo.
This is a great photo! I love the shadow and agree with Johanna that it is fantastic you could think of taking a picture of an ordinary thing like a glass, and making it a shot that is so cool and creative.
