More nature

Saturday morning with all the fog, I noticed a spiderweb from the kitchen window. So I went back to the original one I had seen a few weeks ago and it was there covered in dew! Found a few others too, so here are a couple of photos.

Wow. They are spectacular pictures. Especially when you open the picture to full screen and see that it looks like strands of beautiful pearls. Magical.

Yeah. I just read bindi's comment and opened them big and they were even better (and I already liked them small!). The detail on the top photos is amazing. But the web on the tree is my favourite. I think you're done a beautiful job with that photo.
lovely. I am so pleased the web cooperated in time for this topic!

Great great photos!!! Wow, the spider webs are SO intricate, and the smaller photos make it look like knitted wool! :) I love the top one, great close up shot which is framed really nicely!

Because I love vivid colour, I would probably have a play around with the bottom one (web in the tree) in photoshop - adjusting brightness, contrast and maybe even colour balance, to try to make the web stand out more and have the b/g very deep green. To me the pic looks a bit washed out with too much "white" which I am assuming is because of the fog, but I would love for the colour to be as impressive as the web itself. I would also play with cropping it - I find the branches on the left a bit distracting, so I would probably try to crop close to the web so it is a diamond shape in the rectangular frame.

Thanks guys. I agree Mel, when I was looking at the second photo it does look washed out. I think I will have to have some lessons on how to adjust/use the camera to make the colours better. I just stick it on auto and go from there :) I appreciate your feed back very much - thanks!!!

I love these & it makes me want to take photos of webs too! Actually, this nature topic has made me want to get a macro lens!!

I agree with the bottom one needing more contrast, but I know you dont have any photo editing software (I'll edit your photos for you:)). I like the branches though, because I like seeing the parts where the web is attached to them.
