I love the first photo. The diagonal line of the branch & the complementary colours of the branches & leaves work really nicely. I like the foggy background through the leaves too.
The bottom right corner of the fern photo is a bit distracting, but you could crop that out. The foggy/mist makes the photo more interesting.
I'm not too keen on the position of the Rosella - in the centre of the photo. The top right where there is dead/brown leaves could be cropped out too, and therefore bringing the bird to the top & across to the right third.
Thanks for that guys. I cropped the brown out of the rosella photo and you are right Emm, it looks a whole lot better!! I also took that little corner out of the fern one. Both photos look much better like that. I wont bother posting them though. Thanks for the tips, I appreciate that :)
I was going to say that it's a shame that you didn't get the spider web photo you wanted but was excited to hear that you got them yesterday so I'm looking forward to seeing them also (bigger than just in your view finder, that is). Of these three I like the middle one the best. (though I agree that it could be improved by cropping the bottom right corner). It's very moody. It almost looks tropical with the mist and I like how the greenery fills the whole frame. The colours of the bird do stand out against the green (ditto what bindi said) and I would be interested to see that one cropped like emma suggested. This has been a great topic and I love your description of how you came to choose it. It could be good to do this topic each season (especially since we get such distinct seasons here).

All these photos are very “naturey” too.
I love the misty look with the ferns. So pretty. The colour of the rosella against the greenery is lovely too.

All 3 are really magical.
The mist one feels very prehistoric :-)
