I love the wattle too. Maybe because yellow is my favourite colour :) I like the sharp parts that are in focus and the softer parts of the photo too. (just realised that is what Beth said in a different way ;)) I also like the second photo and the light coming in from the side - there is also part of it that looks like the light is under it. Very 'cool'
These are great Kalista! My favorite is definitely the first one! I think I am just biased though since you told me it's an acacia flower! :) But the snow and the self portrait are also amazing! I'm so impressed that you learned how to do that on editing on photoshop! Good work!
Great focus and blur on the wattle! Love it! Great photo of you too, very pretty, but I'm not sure about the texture... it's a cool texture, but I don't know whether you could have positioned it a bit better, or stretched it so that it covered the whole picture... it just almost stops a little too suddenly in your hair for me... we can play with it a bit more next time I see you if you like :) And is that snow or waves in the middle pic???
I'm confused. Is it wattle or acacia? Either way the shock of colour is great. I had also tried to take a photo of it but had bad luck with focus. Do you use manual focus when you are close up like this? The snow is cool. Did you crop another photo? It looks like it's in motion and is about to get your camera! The last photo of you is a really nice one (beautiful woman that you are). I'm not that keen on the textured effect though, but that's just me :) It might work for me more if it was a different photo, Maybe not such a close up? like a full room or yard type scene where it didn't distort your skin colour in such detail? Just an idea.

The wattle one is great, so soft and beautiful. I love the different areas that are in focus - really makes an interesting photo.
I love seeing all these soft photos, because I think of rough things when I think of texture, so it is great to see things a bit differently!
The second is great as well - love the light reflecting off it (is it snow??)
Great portrait - love the textured effect.

The wattle is such a warm, happy photo! I love it. The softness is really beautiful. (I took wattle photos too, but they didn't turn out well at all!)
I love the shiny light on the snow/ice.
The colours & tones of the texture on your portrait really highlights your eyes (the greeny colours.) Very nice :)
We love the wattle when it's in flower and I was so happy to see your picture of it. Am so glad you added you're self portrait too!
