More Texture: Johanna
(I just wanted to share these photos I got from a walk around the rocks I took when we were at Apollo Bay. We went just as this topic was ending and so it was on my mind.)
I wasn't sure which one to post of these next two. Any thoughts? Do you like it closer up?

Wow Jo, you have been busy!! All of the rock shots are cool! I prefer the distance shot of the blue rock. I saw the close up first and thought it was awesome, but then when I saw the distance one, I immediately thought it was much better - it shows more of the beautiful rich blue colour (WOW!) and also more of the cracks/dirt - the orange/brown looks great in contrast to the blue, and I think that is part of what makes the photo interesting and visually appealing to me too.

I vote for the one further away too. The colours and the shinyness of the rocks are so vivid & stunning! The light & depth of that photo is much nicer than the close up (just my opinion :)

The last photo is great too! I want to go to the beach looking at these! Great textures.

I agree that I like the second shot too. The colours are amazing. I also love the different shapes and formations of the rock. I do love the effect of the salty rock in the last shot too. It looks great blown up. You can see the crystals on it. Great texture.

you can put them on your wall if you want :) I want the first one on mine. I love the gold.
Thanks for the great feedback. It was very fun exploring these rocks. I haven't tweaked the colours beyond setting the camera to vivid. They were pretty cool rocks. And I had no kids so I could really explore. I have lots, but these are my favourites.
