Reflections - Bindi

I have been waiting for a topic on reflections. This picture was taken in June when we took Kiki on the 'Sound of Music' tour in Salzburg. I am looking forward to finding more reflections soon :)

This answers my question to your last post.
I love this! I wonder if you could have had more of the actual building as well, but then I really like the cloud reflected in the pool and realise we can't have it all.
Either way I think it's beautifully composed and am pleased the lake was so still so you could get this great shot.
So nice that you get to go to these places!

I think that when the whole building and mountain behind it are in the pic the focus is not on the reflection. I have lots of variations of this scene. I think that the reflection in this one is the best though. It is a fun topic. I love how the topic makes you think about your photos completely differently.

thats very true. i agree that the way this is composed draws focus to the reflection. I like the way you explained that.

So lovely! Looks very peaceful.
I love how the majority of the colours are green & white, then you have the splash of the reddish/purpley tree. It looks great!

Beautiful photo. I love the mountain and sky in the reflection. The building looks great too. I like the way you have captured the little bit of grass in the bottom left of the photo. I also like the colours of the trees on the right.

Wow, it's just NO FAIR Bindi!!! You live in such a scenic part of the world, all the topics are done for you :P I love what you have captured here, the water is so still I thought it was a painting at first! Love the sound of music!!! Great great photo!!

Hi Bindi,
I get to check all you girls's photos now and then when I catch Mel on the PC. I'm not much of a photographer, but I think most of the photos you guys take are very good. I must admit though that I think you cheat a little. Being somewhere where around every corner is a unique landscape or famous historical building, you can't really go wrong... I just saw Mel's note above. :) Yes you're a lucky lady. :)

Haha Chris! She isn't cheating! Just because you have something beautiful to take a photo of, doesn't mean that the photo will be good. I'm sure if you looked at "holiday snaps" from people who visit these places, their photos wouldn't be as good a Bindi's :)

I have to agree. I am so lucky to be here! We are in London at the moment though and I haven't found any reflections here...

It does feel a little like I am cheating sometimes too!

Beautiful photo! I absolutely love it! It looks like it could be a painting or something-- what a neat building and reflection shot!

The picture is so serene! I love it! I love that the emphasis is on the water (like you and J discussed) and just gives a hint of the building.
