Beth - Black & White

It was quite a windy day, so I was experimenting with different shutter speeds, to get a bit of movement of the grass in some shots, and in other shots to get the grass frozen in the wind.

I normally use photoshop to edit my photos, but this time, I only used i-photo on Andrew's computer - so the quality of the photos isn't very good!

Hi girls... I would like to play along. I don't have any formal photography training but I would like to learn. Can I join in next fortnights topic?
Cheers,
Naomi

Cool Naomi - just sent an invitation to your yahoo address (let me know if there is a differnt one I should of sent it to.) New topic just started too :) Also, if you come up with a topic, let me know & I'll add it to the list.

Beth - The last photo is really cool! I love the perspective (and how we saw you in action getting these shots :)) Are they whispy clouds, or rays of light in the sky? Etiher way it looks awesome!

Yeah - rays of light coming into the lens. I like that part too.

I like the rays of sun too. That is what caught my eye straight away. Like the aspect of that shot too, looking up into the grass and the sky. I like the top photo too, and the focus on the grass seeds in the foreground.

How do you get the rays of light like that? Is that called lens flare? Or is that when you get circles of light? Very cool effect.
I like the first one too. It looks really great when I click on it and look at it big. I think it really works with all that blur from the movement because there are also spots that are focused.
