I know that there are a lot of technical faults with this one, but in my defence, there's only so much you can do when driving at 110kms an hour :) I liked the idea though ...
Wow, I love this photo. I love the movement of the wind in the trees and on the water. I love the old look of the pier. I like the way the kids are so relaxed and just enjoying sitting there watching the water. I also like the bare feet :)
This is a lovely capture of childhood. I also love how the kids look so relaxed and serene and the three of them look so cute together! It is clear they're not only siblings but good friends too. :)
The top picture is great. Really like not only the kids but the overall composition. You have captured the peace that you feel as you watch the river flow by.
I agree with all the comments about the first photo. A beautiful capture!
(I really liked the piano photos too - I loved the movement of the hands, which made the photo more interesting than if it was just frozen. All 3 photos worked really well together in the collage - you seem to be very artistic like that.)
I like the lights & colours of the Christmas tree. I would like to see the girl in focus along with the tree (it looks like there is a blur filter over the background & her head.) It is a very sweet capture of something that I loved in my childhood...and still love now!
Thanks for all the positive feedback ladies. Emma - the Tree picture was done candidly whilst the kids were decorating, it wasn't a posed shot, and the original photos were too strongly backlit and too dark feature wise. I've modified it a bit - a Gaussian Blur on the background to remove focus from the strongly lit window. I've actually put a Soft Focus filter across the whole picture as well, which partly contributes to why Jewel isn't as crisp - it's just less noticeable on the Tree than on her. I'm quite partial to soft focus filters, but I usually use a dark background and hard light when using them. Appreciate the feedback.
I really like the first photo. The shot itself is quite timeless, like the kids could be from 30 years ago or today. I like how you can feel the wind in it (in the trees, waves and hair). Beautiful. I also really like the one in the car. A great idea and I'm sure before long what most kids these days will remember about car trips in their childhood (we just got one too and it's brilliant!). Love the little details like the sticker on the forehead and hands and cushions behind the head.
