Most of you may have already seen them, but I took food photos for Kylie Ofiu's cookbook, which was fun. You can see a sample of some of those photos on my blog here.
I like the fig photo. They are a very beautiful fruit and having the front one ripped open so you get that great colour is a good idea. I like the lighting on them too. The kiwi fruit looks like it should be on a poster at the markets. Looks just like a kiwi fruit :) (I don't know what to say....hahahaha)
Hahaa! I much prefer the fig photo since it is more natural. After talking to you about the kiwi fruit, I do see it being in a baby/kids book... "this is a kiwi fruit"!
I like the fig photo too, but having said that, I do like the detail in the Kiwi fruit. The hairs on the skin and the seeds etc. I love the colour in the fig photo, and I do like the way the fruit in both photos looks so fresh.
The more that I have thought about the kiwi fruit photo today, the more I like it. It's pretty impressive how sterile the background is (it's like a pure kiwifruit photo, doesn't have any distractions. all about the fruit!) and I like that it is good enough to put in one of those books (for colour, food, shapes, texture, you name it). Sorry about my weird comment :)
