Landscapes Advice - Paul Dowe

I'm presuming that Emma is referring to Paul Dowe - a professional landscape photographer from Perth - and good friend of ours, who is staying with us at the moment.

I showed him the blog and he was more than happy to oblige. Paul's advice with landscape shooting is:
  • The first half hour and last half hour of light each day is "when the magic happens"
  • Keep the composition simple - don't clutter the frame
  • Concentrate on your leading lines - remember to try and form a pathway for the eye to follow that tells a story.
  • Experiment with your depth of field.
"The three ingredients of Light, Composition and Depth of Field will produce something special when all three are right."
