R.O.T. Assignment - BINDI

I went back through lots of photos (I had a bit of time on the couch this week!) to try and see which photos I have taken that use the Rule of Thirds principle. Not many it seems...so I think this will have to be a skill I need to practice. The above one works I think with the horizon.
I played around a bit this afternoon while I waited at Simon's work for him to finish. I went for the flags being at the righthand third line. Might have worked a lot better if it wasn't overcast though :(
And finally I tried to get Mia's eye at the intersect of the third lines (I have been reading about this on Pioneer Woman!) Mia might have crazy after-school hair, horrible gappy teeth and be eating an apple...but I like the picture. I think it worked!

I love the other pictures posted so far by everyone else. You all seem to be naturals at the R.O.T. thing already :)

Your first photo works really well & not just because of the rule of thirds! The light is great & the trees lead you into the photo. Beautiful!

With the photo of the flags, I first look at the building in the background. The sky is brighter, so the flags are underexposed (exposure is a whole other lesson!)

I love the photo of Mia, it works really well! Good job :)

I love that first photo. You're lucky to have such beautiful inspiring landscapes to photograph!
I like that you have caught Mia with crazy after-school hair, horrible gappy teeth and eating an apple and don't think you should apologize. I think it adds more interest and reality. I prefer that whole photo-journalism-type-of-snap-shot-that-captures real-life to the posed-studio-type-portrait. (I don't know if that's the right lingo and i am sure that i would make many exceptions, but you get what I mean right?)
