Love your shoes (i love billy right?) and the way the lines of the wall make them the focal point.

Did you enhance the colours? It all works so well. Fantastic picture.

Yep, I lOVE Billy :)

I used the camera settings to enhance the colours (saturation), but didn't do any post work - this is straight out of the camera. I use "vivid" settings for landscapes & bright colours etc, and more neutral settings for portraits to get nice skin tones. You should be able to change the saturation & contrast through your camera too, Bindi.

oOOOOOoooo. I want to try vivid too. I did some inside the other day but it looks like it would work better outdoors. So much to play with! So little time :)
This is a great idea for a shot and the colours do look great. Here's an idea (take or leave it). I wonder if you changed your perspective (or found a higher brick wall) if you could make it look like you are dangling your feet and all you see is the brick and your legs and feet so that we don't know how far down the ground is (as in cut out the grass). I think that could look kind of cool. It would change the whole colour thing (which is great) and make it more blue (brick, jeans, sky?) with that shock of red (which I think could look really cool). Am I making sense? Just an idea.
The whole 3D look of this photo makes me squint at the photo a bit too (in a good way). It's like the wall just comes out perpendicular to the 2D surface. crazy.

I love the colours too. Where did you find a blue wall? Great photo too.

Johanna - that does make sense. I would need to find a higher wall though :) then it would be too hard to do a SP...it would be easier with a model - any takers?? I did have photos from that shoot with more sky, but I found it too bright and distracting.

Mum - the wall is down the side of the NLA!! :D I like the little bit of green moss in the wall :P

I was just reading about the vivid setting in my 'Nikon D40 for Dummies' and then I read your comment Emma...can't wait to try it out.

I think all the Canberra girls with red shoes need to go sit on the wall together and get a picture. Could look so cute!
