Yeah - I love the first as well. The colour is so soft and beautiful, and the veins are great. Wonderful composition.

Love where you have focussed the picture in the last one - great texture.

Your photos are getting better each time! The first one is amazing! The direction of the lines are great - nicely composed.

I like the angle & perspective of the 2nd one. The texture of the bark is really cool.

The shallow depth of field works really well in the last one. I want to touch all the bumps in that one!

Wow these are beautiful! I love them all! I really like the last one with the focal point in the middle and the sides blurry! It's a very cool effect! And the first one is really neat as well! It is so creative and I love all the lines going in different directions!

Great photos Helen, I really like them all! Really well done for capturing such interesting texture!! The detail on the first one (flower?) is amazing, it reminds me of a cabbage :)

The first one is definitely my fave too! For all the reasons above :) (lame I know but I'll just sound like a broken record if I repeat). Colours, lines, layers, composition all brilliant.
The others are good too and I think that the angle you have taken them on makes them more interesting too (as opposed to being more 2d and straight on. Do you get what I mean?)
I agree that you have been taking better and better photos
