Quite like the Old & New piece - nice juxtaposition between the two signs.
I liked where you were going with the Aus Open one, but two things distract me in the composition: 1. It feels like the seat is cut off a bit too much on the LHS to me, 2. The bottle of Lift in the background :) Was there anyway of repositioning the flag to hide it?
I would have to say that I was capturing what spoke to me about it from Mia's point of view. So the bottle of soft drink was relevant to the picture (for us!) I wanted to capture the seat number and a bit of the physical surrounds.
You're obviously looking around you to think to photograph the old and new. It's a great idea for the topic! It's still so easy to read the old one I wonder why they added a new one? Do you know?
This is how all the street signs, numbers, etc, are done now. So I guess it is just progress and to keep them looking uniform. Apparently a while ago they stopped using the ß (scharfes s) on government signs and just changed it to a double s.

This is a nicely composed vignette Bindi!

I like the bottle of lift in the photo - it captures the whole environment for me and evokes feelings of a hot day & needing a cold drink!
I like the neutral colours in the old & new photo...it gives it a more "old" feeling, and the new number almost looks out of place. Very cool photo.

How is that for a little Austrian trivia?!
