New Topic - Portrait / Fashion Shoot

OK, something a bit different for this fortnight's topic. There's a choice of two ways to shoot for this topic. The first is simply to take photos that you feel would classify as a portrait or fashion shoot. The second way is that we will be holding a photo shoot on the 24th Nov for those who are able to participate.

For a portrait, your purpose is in trying to capture a persons face and their expression. This means that the photo is usually going to be composed of somebody in a still position.

For a fashion shoot, the focus is less on the person, as it is about the clothing or fashion items and accessories (eg worn jewellery) and trying to emphasise those.

For those of us in Canberra, I've arranged for the Tuggeranong YW to be available at Garran at 6PM on Wed 24th Nov. We'll have up to 7 or 8 girls to use as models to shoot. Here's a chance to experiment with portrait and/or Fashion shots with the girls. In return, we'll offer the girls the opportunity to have a copy of any of the photos of them that they like (at their expense of course!)
